FJW Find-R-Scope

From FJW Optical Systems we are able to supply Infrared viewers (FIND-R-SCOPE), handheld battery-operated infrared image converters, with spectral sensitivities from 350-1550 nm, and handheld battery-operated rechargeable infrared cameras with video output, which allow viewing through a camera viewfinder and a remote monitor simultaneously with spectral sensitivities from 400 to 2200 nm, and thermal imaginging devices from 7? to 14?. Also available, UV viewers sensitive from 180 to 1550 nm.
We are also pleased to be able to offer a full refurbishment and service facility for FJW products.

CamIR 1550nm CAMERA

The CamIR1550offers a robust, compact and real-time imaging system without image lag or decay. When fitted with the optional hand-held display, it provides a portable, go anywhere, self-contained system, with over 3 hours operation time on a single battery charge.
The CamIR1550is available in either PAL/CCIR or NTSC/EIA formats.

Sensitivity as low as 0.2J/cm2with peaked spectral response at 1512nm and 1540nm. Due to the nature of the coating, the sensitivity is non-linear with respect to the incident illumination, which emphasises brighter regions of the image.
Tuned partial sensitivity in the ultra-red allows scene illumination with a desk lamp or torch whilst maintaining sensitivity in the 1550nm NIR.
The CamIR1550camera unit can be used with or without a lens depending on the application. The camera is sensitive to most 1550nm communication band emitters.
1550nm CAMERA ADAPTER

The CamIR adapter1550 enables standard CCD cameras to image in the NIR range 1495-1595nm. The module is inserted between a large format lens and a CCD camera to give an instant imaging system which extends sensitivity into the telecoms wavelength bands.

AST's proprietry conversion optics converts the 1495-1595nm wavelength band to Si-based CCD detectable wavelengths without the undesirable fading or lag during use. The large format anti-reflection coated input window ensures maximum image resolution is transferred to the attached CCD camera.

The CamIR adapter1550 fits directly to your camera C mount and a range of suitable lens mount adapters are available.

LASER ALIGNMENT SENSORS & CARDS

VisualizeIR™ is neatly tailored to provide NIR detection specifically for use with IR LEDs, IR laser diodes (including telecoms) and Nd:YAG lasers. This product is unique in operation because it does not require optical charging before use and can be stimulated continuously without the emission fading! Visualises radiation as low as 175nW/sq cm. The material features GREEN emission, which is ideal even when IR safety goggles are worn.

UVisualize™ is a UV/blue sensitive phosphor which offers excellent contrast and image clarity with long post stimulation persistence, making this product range number one for pulsed UV laser visualisation. Ideal for Nitrogen, Eximer, Tripled Nd:YAG, Quadrupled Nd:YAG and many more UV/blue lasers. The material features YELLOW emission.

The VISualize™ range of alignment products gives broadband yellow/red emission under stimulation from blue through to NIR sources, offering clear beam visibility for almost every laser/laser goggle combination.

The Visualize™ range is offered in three different formats:-

  • Laminated 'credit card' style - budget format suitable for low power lamp and laser use.

  • 25mm disk and clip-on wand - specifically designed for the laser engineers and optics experimentalists where frequent component positioning is required. The 25mm optic to be aligned is replaced by the VISualize™ disk allowing accurate alignment of the mount. The optic is then replaced. In addition the wand allows probing of high power beams without risk to user.

  • Optical bench-mounted head - (with alignment target) rugged, 40mm active area, free-standing standard mounting post and post holder, allowing centre adjustments from 85-230mm. Particularly suited for laser alignment, component positioning and beam profiling.
